ABOUT MDEMC
MDEMC is a film production and distribution company based in Stockholm, Sweden. Its focus is auteur films and the development of specific artistic processes in every production, high artistic quality, daring analytic work and experimental aesthetics. MDEMC produces full feature and short documentaries and fiction films, such as XXL (2024), fifteen zero three nineteenth of january two thousand sixteen (2024), The Building and Burning of a Refugee Camp (2024), Good Life (2022), Lizard Brain (2022), The Traffic Lights Turn Blue Tomorrow (2017), You Shall See That I’m Right (2016), Crisis Document. A Survival Guide (2015), Second Class (2013), and Not Panic (2010).
MDEMC has established itself as a successful independent film production company with high quality films screened in some of the most important international film festivals and platforms such as Hot Docs, Venice days, IDFA, Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, GIFF, Leipzig film festival, transmediale among others.
Together with the filmmakers, other artists and academics MDEMC constantly aims to create broader contexts for their films and experiments with how film can take an active part in the public conversation.
